Strategy and tips for winning at Rummy
In betzo Rummy, skill is the main key to winning, not just luck. Follow these tips to improve your chances of winning:
Build a pure sequence first: Focus on forming one or two pure sequences — without a joker — before anything else. This is the most important condition for winning.
Discard high-value cards: Get rid of high-value cards that are not being used in a sequence or set. This reduces your points.
Watch your opponents: Keep an eye on which cards they are picking up and discarding. This gives you an idea of what is in their hand.
Use joker cards wisely: Use the joker to complete the sequence or set where it saves you the most points.
Drop at the right time: If your hand is very poor, taking a first drop is the smart move — cut your losses and focus on the next game.
